An hour ago I received your book. I haven't done a word of work since because as soon as I picked up the book I became engrossed. It is wonderful!! I love the personal touches and humor, such as "p. 32, "The idiot running into the surf...." And the Good, Bad, and Ugly discussion that puts the two views (very fairly presented) into perspective. I can't read fast enough to learn all I want to know right now. Your explanation of barrier island formations is something I've always been curious about. I am, of course, hungry for every word about Pawleys Island and the nearby areas since that is like a second home to us.
This is exactly the book I've wanted. Thank you Jacqui Michel and Miles Hayes for seeing this project done--and very well done. Brava, bravo!
